LEGAL NOTICE OF ESTOPPEL
The bond resolution, a summary of which is published herewith, has been adopted on February 4, 2020, and the validity of the obligations authorized by such resolution may be hereafter contested only if such obligations were authorized for an object or purpose for which the City of Oneonta, Otsego County, New York, is not authorized to expend money, or if the provisions of law which should have been complied with as of the date of publication of this notice were not substantially complied with, and an action, suit or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty days after the date of publication of this notice, or such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the Constitution.
A complete copy of the resolution summarized herewith is available for public inspection at the City of Oneonta’s website, www.oneonta.ny.us/announcements, for a period of twenty days from the date of publication of this Notice.
BOND RESOLUTION DATED FEBRUARY 4, 2020.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $640,000 SERIAL BONDS OF THE CITY OF ONEONTA, OTSEGO COUNTY, NEW YORK, TO PAY PART OF THE COST OF THE REPLACEMENT OF THE SANITARY SEWER MAIN IN AND FOR SAID CITY.
Specific object or Purpose: Replacement of the sanitary sewer main through lower Wilber Park from approximately Graduate Drive to the Olin Avenue Street end, beneath portions of Olin Avenue, Union Street, Center Street and along the full length of Pine Street from Center Street to Main Street, as well as associated street and sidewalk improvements and other incidental improvements and expenses.
Maximum estimated cost: $1,255,000
Period of probable usefulness: Forty years
Amount of obligations to be issued: $640,000 bonds
Other Monies: $615,000 available funds
