Parks and Recreation

Welcome to the City of Oneonta parks and recreation pages!

We offer a variety of green spaces and parks, and a great selection of recreational facilities, teams, entertainment, and community events.

News and announcements

  • This year, parks pavilion reservations will be handled by the City Clerk's office on the first floor of City Hall, 258 Main St.  Standard usage applications will no longer be accepted at the recreation office in Neahwa Park. However event organizers for festivals, walks, or other fundraisers that are requesting a pavilion as part of their event, must still make their request via the recreation office.
  • Public ice skating is now available at Hodges Pond in Neahwa Park.  Click here for details.
  • Construction has begun to replace the pedestrian bridge in Wilber Park at the end of Spruce Street.  Please be watchful for construction vehicles in this area and along Albert Morris Drive in lower Wilber Park.  Work is scheduled to conclude by spring.
  • All parks' restrooms and seasonal roadways have been closed for the season.  They will reopen in late-April.
